Cross-chain NFT sales printed $46.78M for the week of Sep 7–13, 2026 — and the week produced the sharpest divergence this series has recorded: volume up 6.8% as reported while buyer addresses fell 84.67% to 41,959.

Every figure is CryptoSlam data captured Sep 12, 2026, except the blue-chip floors, which come from NeoDrop's Sep 11 briefing. Where the weekly percentage depends on an undisclosed comparison base, we publish both readings — and this week the two readings point in opposite directions.

Key point: Cross-chain NFT sales came in at $46.78M for the week of Sep 7–13, 2026 — up 6.8% as reported — on 917,549 transactions from just 41,959 buyer addresses, an 84.67% collapse.

Data sources. All figures are CryptoSlam data as reported in the Sep 12, 2026 seven-day dashboard capture (crypto.news, The Bit Gazette and Bitcoins News — figures identical across outlets; syndicated further by GiveMeBit and CryptoVideos). Blue-chip floors come from NeoDrop's Sep 5 – Sep 11 briefing, cutoff Sep 11 09:00 ET, built from CoinGecko collection data and OpenSea collection pages. Buyer and seller counts are blockchain addresses, which may not equal unique individuals. Wash volume was published this week only for Ethereum, Bitcoin and Polygon; the remaining chains are shown without a wash figure rather than with an estimated one.

1. Headline Numbers

CryptoSlam's Sep 12 capture records $46.78M in organic sales, up 6.8% against a prior-week base of roughly $43.80M implied by that same comparison. Our own Sep 5 capture put the prior week at $75.54M, against which this week is a 38.1% decline. The divergence is the largest we have recorded — wider than last week's — and it repeats the series' pattern: buyer addresses reconcile exactly between the two bases (−84.67% computed on our 273,655 against −84.67% as reported), seller addresses nearly (−85.15% vs −85.13%), while sales value and transaction counts do not reconcile at all.

*The $43.80M prior-week figure is not printed in the capture; it is back-derived from the reported +6.8%. The capture also does not publish its own prior-week transaction count, but its +48.75% implies about 616,800 — against the 650,332 in our Sep 5 capture, which is why the two transaction-change columns disagree.

Average value per transaction collapsed to $50.98 — $46.78M across 917,549 trades, down 56.1% from $116.16. Value per buyer address jumped the other way, from $276 to about $1,115. And the transaction count per buyer address hit 21.9, against 2.38 last week — a ninefold jump that is either genuine whale concentration or a change in how addresses are attributed, and one week cannot tell those apart.

2. Chain Breakdown — Organic vs Wash

Ranked by organic sales. Ethereum retakes the top spot; wash volume was published this week only for the three chains that show a figure.

ChainOrganic salesW/WWash volumeCombinedBuyer addrsBuyers W/W
Ethereum$16.83M-6.4%$794,730$17.62M8,271-79.4%
Bitcoin$9.44M+50.1%$74,767$9.51M2,255-82.8%

BNB Chain$4.02M+26.0%-90.0%
Base$2.48M-35.3%-87.0%
Solana$2.30M+32.9%n/a

Ethereum leads at $16.83M (36.0% of organic volume) despite a 6.36% reported decline — on our Sep 5 base the decline computes to 11.1%. Bitcoin's +50.12% to $9.44M rests on five BRC-20 sales worth about $4.61M. BNB Chain collapses to $4.02M in fourth: +25.99% as reported against a $3.19M implied base, but −87.7% against the $32.75M we recorded last week — the two columns disagree by more than 113 points, the widest chain-level gap in our series. Polygon's wash ratio of 2.22× breaks a two-week run above 2.5×. The six named chains account for 91.5% of global organic volume.

3. Blue-Chip Floors

NeoDrop's Sep 5 – Sep 11 briefing (cutoff Sep 11, 09:00 ET) recorded four of five tracked floors lower in ETH terms — BAYC −11.58%, Pudgy Penguins −8.39%, Azuki −4.18% and CryptoPunks −3.12% — while Doodles edged up 0.28% as the sole gainer. ETH itself rose 6.94% over the window, from $2,456.09 to $2,626.49, which softens the dollar declines: NeoDrop puts BAYC's floor at $17,597.51, down 8.61% — though between the two dated snapshots tabulated below the fall computes to 5.0% ($18,528.98 to $17,597.48). We show both.

Doodles0.342 ETH0.318095 ETH+7.5%+0.3%$898

Two change columns again. Change vs Sep 4 compares two precisely dated snapshots — ours and NeoDrop's prior briefing. 7-day (as reported) is CoinGecko's rolling seven-day percentage. They agree for CryptoPunks (−3.12% on either) and diverge most on Doodles: +7.52% between the dated snapshots against just +0.28% as reported, because CoinGecko's window starts from an implied prior near 0.341 ETH rather than the 0.318095 ETH in our Sep 4 snapshot. We publish both rather than present either as the single answer.

The 24-hour volume pulses split the cohort: BAYC +255.97% (26.52 ETH on 4 sales) and Doodles +572.85% (8.47 ETH on 24 sales) surged, while Pudgy Penguins (−18.22%) and Azuki (−17.16%) contracted. Surging turnover on a falling floor and contracting turnover on a falling floor are different market states wearing the same headline.

4. Top Collections

Courtyard (Polygon) led at $6.67M across 104,404 transactions — 14.3% of global volume and, again, the only genuinely broad base, with 16,253 buyer addresses. Argonauts more than doubled to $4.36M on 2,331 transactions. The two Bitcoin BRC-20 collections behind it moved $4.62M in twelve transactions combined. CryptoPunks fell 41.84% to $1.13M on 15 sales.

$X@AGIBitcoin$1.72M3$573,333
CryptoPunksEthereum$1.13M15$75,333

The averages tell the concentration story plainly: $X@AI's $322,222 per transaction and $X@AGI's $573,333 sit against Courtyard's $64. CryptoPunks' $75,333 average against a $78,243 floor suggests most Punks trades cleared at or near the bottom of the book.

  • All five of the week's largest sales were Bitcoin BRC-20 items worth about $4.61M combined — roughly half of Bitcoin's weekly volume.
  • Four of five blue-chip floors fell in ETH terms even as ETH gained 6.94%; Doodles was the sole gainer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What was total NFT sales volume for the week of Sep 7–13, 2026?

$46.78M in organic sales per CryptoSlam's Sep 12 capture. Against the ~$43.80M prior-week base implied by the capture's own +6.8% comparison it is a rise; against our own Sep 5 capture of $75.54M it is a 38.1% decline. CryptoSlam does not publish the span behind its comparison.

Why did buyer addresses fall 85% while transactions rose 49%?

The dashboard shows 917,549 transactions from 41,959 buyer addresses — about 22 per address, against 2.4 the week before. Genuine concentration is part of it (five BRC-20 sales, nine $X@AI transactions across seven addresses), but a shift this abrupt may also reflect a change in address attribution. We flag it as unresolved.

Which chain had the most NFT sales?

Ethereum, at $16.83M — 36.0% of global organic volume. Bitcoin was second at $9.44M, Polygon third at $7.71M, and BNB Chain fell back to fourth at $4.02M after its 1,042% week.

Did blue-chip floors rise with ETH?

No. Four of the five tracked floors fell in ETH terms between the Sep 4 and Sep 11 snapshots — BAYC −11.26% to Punks −3.12% — while Doodles rose 0.28%. ETH itself gained 6.94% in the same window. As reported by CoinGecko's rolling seven-day window, BAYC's figure is −11.58%.

Is the wash-trading figure included in the sales total?

No. CryptoSlam reports organic sales separately from wash volume. This week the source published wash only for Ethereum ($794,730), Bitcoin ($74,767) and Polygon ($17.11M); other chains are shown without a figure rather than an estimate.
