Editorial Policy

This page explains how NFTinger selects, verifies and corrects its content. It is written to be checked, not to be admired — if our output does not match what is described here, that is a failure on our side.

1. Scope

We cover the cross-chain NFT market: trading activity, market structure, marketplaces, royalties, mint economics, security and regulation. We do not cover individual token price speculation, and we do not publish price targets.

2. Sourcing

3. Verification

  1. Gather from the whitelist.
  2. Deduplicate overlapping reports of the same event.
  3. Judge importance by expected relevance a month out, not by same-week volume of coverage.
  4. Classify and summarise the fact.
  5. Cross-check against a second whitelist source where one exists.
  6. Comment, clearly separated from the summary of the fact.

Where a claim traces to a single source we cannot corroborate, we publish it labelled not independently confirmed. We do not drop such items: absence of corroboration is not evidence of falsity.

4. Separation of Fact and Commentary

Every news and analysis item separates what happened from what we think about it. A reader should be able to accept our summary and reject our commentary.

5. Data and Measurement

Metric definitions and week boundaries are stated in place wherever a table is published, and the full set of formulas used is listed at the bottom of the Weekly Data Report. Where a figure is an estimate — most importantly our wash-trading range — we say so and we publish the method's limitations alongside it.

6. Independence and Disclosure

7. Column Pipelines

Each of our weekly and monthly columns runs a documented pipeline. The summary of each pipeline lives here so article pages can lead with the substance and not the process description.

8. What We Do Not Do

9. Corrections

Errors are corrected on the page, and substantive corrections are noted in the next weekly edition so that readers who follow only the weekly columns still see them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does NFTinger choose what to cover?

We gather from a fixed source whitelist, deduplicate, then rank by expected relevance a month out rather than by how much coverage a story received that week.

What does 'not independently confirmed' mean?

The item traces to a single whitelist source we could not corroborate. We publish it labelled rather than dropping it, because a single credible source is not the same as no source.

Do you accept payment for coverage?

No. Commercial relationships are disclosed, and sponsors have no editorial input.

How do you correct mistakes?

On the page, plus a note in the next weekly edition for substantive corrections.
