Cross-chain NFT sales rose to $55.51M for the week of Sep 21–27, 2026 — a 57.17% rise on the capture's own base — while buyer addresses rose 39.65% to 160,565. After four weeks of falling or flat value, the market printed its highest weekly total since early September.

Every figure is CryptoSlam data captured Sep 26, 2026, except the blue-chip floors, which come from NeoDrop's Sep 25 briefing. Where the weekly percentage depends on an undisclosed comparison base, we publish both readings — and this week the bases widened again while the address columns reconciled exactly.

Key point: Global NFT sales rose 57.17% to $55.51M for the week of Sep 21–27, 2026 — the highest weekly total since the Aug 31–Sep 6 week — with buyer addresses up 39.65% to 160,565 and every one of the six leading chains growing.

Data sources. All figures are CryptoSlam data as reported in the Sep 26, 2026 seven-day dashboard capture (crypto.news, cryptonews.net, FinWire, Smarti News, ChainGPT and Bitcoins News — figures identical across outlets). Blue-chip floors come from NeoDrop's Sep 19 – Sep 25 briefing, data cutoff Sep 25 09:00 ET, built from CoinGecko collection data, NFT Price Floor volume series and OpenSea collection pages. Buyer and seller counts are blockchain addresses, which may not equal unique individuals. Wash volume was published this week for Ethereum, Polygon, Base and Bitcoin; the remaining chains are shown without a wash figure rather than with an estimated one.

1. Headline Numbers

CryptoSlam's Sep 26 capture records $55.51M in organic sales, up 57.17% against the prior-week base of roughly $35.31M implied by that capture's own comparison. Our own Sep 19 capture put the prior week at $37.54M, against which this week is a 47.87% rise — the largest like-for-like weekly gain of the series since the Pandora-inflated Aug 22 capture. The gap between the two bases widened from 5.3% to 6.3% after one week of near-convergence. The address columns reconcile exactly again: the capture's +39.65% implies a prior buyer count of 114,977, which is our own Sep 19 print to the address, and sellers compute to +39.22% on our base against +39.19% as reported. Transaction counts still do not.

*The ~$35.31M prior-week figure is implied by the capture's +57.17% (55.51 ÷ 1.5717); no outlet printed the prior figure directly. The capture does not publish its own prior-week transaction count; its +5.93% implies about 779,300, against the 808,432 in our Sep 19 capture — which is why the two transaction-change columns disagree by 3.8 points.

Average value per transaction jumped to $67.24 — $55.51M across 825,513 trades, up 44.8% from $46.44. Transactions per buyer address fell to 5.1 from 7.0, while value per buyer address edged up from $327 to about $346. Fewer trades per wallet and a bigger average ticket is the signature of a large-trade week, and the collections section confirms it.

2. Chain Breakdown — Organic vs Wash

Ranked by organic sales. Every one of the six leading chains grew this week — the first all-green week of the series — and wash volume was published for four chains, including Bitcoin for the first time in three weeks.

Ethereum leads at $30.33M — 54.6% of organic volume — up 113.52% as reported; on our Sep 19 base the rise computes to 98.0%, and the capture's own percentage implies a prior week of about $14.21M against the $15.32M we recorded. Its share is the highest since the Aug 24–30 week's 56.1%. Base grew $3.30M (+87.59% as reported, 52.78% on our base), though its $4.80M of wash volume again exceeded its organic total, at 1.45×. Polygon's wash ratio eased to 2.49×, staying just below 2.5×. BNB Chain's 2.76% rise to $2.66M still leaves it 91.9% below the level its own 1,042% week reached, and its share of the market fell from 6.9% to 4.8%. The six named chains account for 92.3% of global organic volume — our sum computes $51.25M against the $51.23M stated in the reports, a rounding-level difference.

3. Blue-Chip Floors

NeoDrop's Sep 19 – Sep 25 briefing (cutoff Sep 25, 09:00 ET) recorded three of five floors higher in ETH terms — the first cohort-wide gain in a month, after at least four of five fell in each of the three prior weeks. CryptoPunks jumped 13.47% to 33.69 ETH, Pudgy Penguins added 3.28% to end three straight declines, and Azuki gained 0.59% — its first rise after three down weeks. BAYC gave back last week's gain with a 5.59% fall to 6.42 ETH, and Doodles lost 9.90%, the steepest decline for a second consecutive week. ETH itself rose 3.21% over the window, from $2,611.56 to $2,695.31.

Two change columns, because they measure different things. Change vs Sep 18 compares two precisely dated snapshots — ours and NeoDrop's from last week. 7-day (as reported) is CoinGecko's rolling seven-day percentage, which uses its own window and its own implied prior print. This week they agree outright on CryptoPunks (+13.47% against an implied prior of exactly our 29.69 ETH print) and differ mainly on BAYC (−6.28% between our snapshots against −5.59% as reported, whose implied prior is 6.80 ETH). The briefing's USD floors imply an ETH price of about $2,695, matching the $2,695.31 endpoint it cites — no discrepancy this week.

Weekly volume exploded on the two largest names and rose on three of the five: CryptoPunks traded 2,831.48 ETH, up 1,024.9% across 79 sales against nine the prior week, and BAYC 669.98 ETH, up 276.5% across 230 sales. Together the two accounted for 3,501.46 of the cohort's 3,822.57 ETH — 91.6% of all five collections' weekly volume. One caveat carried over from the source: the week-over-week column follows NFT Price Floor's own prior-week baseline, and against our last print of 286.70 ETH the CryptoPunks figure computes to +887.6% rather than +1,024.9%. BAYC's top offer slid from 96.0% to 82.7% of floor while its listed count fell from 284 to 261 — supply left the book at falling prices.

4. Top Collections

CryptoPunks (Ethereum) took the top of the table from Courtyard at $8.24M, up 1,066.53% — implying roughly $0.71M the prior week — across 85 transactions involving 62 buyer and 55 seller addresses. Courtyard (Polygon) ranked second at $6.56M (+6.67%) across 111,471 transactions, down 7.54%, with buyer addresses down 14.29% — dollar volume up on fewer trades. Credits (Ethereum) placed third at $5.18M with no week-over-week change displayed, across 57,288 transactions.

CreditsEthereum$5.18M57,288$90
ArgonautsEthereum$1.97M952$2,069
BeezieBase$1.69M7,367$229

The averages separate the shapes: CryptoPunks' $96,941 per transaction sits about 1.07× its $90,805 floor — a floor-adjacent whale tape — against Courtyard's $59 across 111,471 trades and Credits' $90 across 57,288. Beezie (Base) posted $1.69M, up 176.70%, across 7,367 transactions but only 8 buyer addresses, and the week's largest listed sale — Beezie #4365 for $1,000,000 in USDC — alone accounted for roughly 59% of the collection's week. The five largest individual trades of the week (Beezie #4365; two $X@AI Bitcoin sales of $519,364 and $409,140; Alchemix V3 Transmuter #229 at $398,081; a Cardano Warriors sale at $378,237) totalled about $2.70M — roughly 4.9% of global volume.

Key takeaways
  • Sales rose 57.17% to $55.51M — the highest weekly total since the Aug 31–Sep 6 week — but on our own base the gain computes to 47.87%, and the two comparison bases widened from 5.3% to 6.3%.
  • Buyer addresses rose 39.65% to 160,565 and reconcile exactly between the bases: the capture's own percentage implies a prior week of 114,977, our print to the address.
  • Ethereum took 54.6% of organic volume at $30.33M (+113.52% as reported) — its highest share since the Aug 24–30 week — and all six leading chains grew for the first time in the series.
  • CryptoPunks led collections at $8.24M (+1,066.53%) on 85 transactions — $96,941 per trade, about 1.07× its $90,805 floor — and its own NeoDrop floor print of +13.47% came on roughly eleven times the prior week's volume.
  • Polygon's wash ratio eased to 2.49×; wash was published for four chains this week, including Bitcoin's $109,667.

Frequently Asked Questions

Did NFT sales rise 47.9% or 57.2% this week?

Both figures describe the same $55.51M. The 57.17% rise is measured against the roughly $35.31M prior-week base implied by the Sep 26 capture's own comparison; the 47.87% rise measures the same figure against the $37.54M recorded in our Sep 19 capture. CryptoSlam does not publish the span behind its comparison, so both are shown.

Is the 57% gain broad-based?

Not in composition. Transactions rose just 5.93% while sales rose 57.17%, so the average trade grew from $46.44 to $67.24. CryptoPunks produced $8.24M from 85 transactions, Beezie #4365 alone sold for $1M — about 59% of its collection's week — and the five largest trades totalled about $2.70M, or 4.9% of global volume.

Which chain had the most NFT sales?

Ethereum, at $30.33M — 54.6% of global organic volume, up 113.52% as reported. Polygon was second at $7.44M, Bitcoin third at $5.13M, Base fourth at $3.30M and BNB Chain fifth at $2.66M. All six leading chains grew this week.

Did blue-chip floors follow ETH's 3.21% gain?

Three of five did — the first time in a month a majority of the cohort rose. CryptoPunks added 13.47% to 33.69 ETH, Pudgy Penguins 3.28% and Azuki 0.59%, while BAYC fell 5.59% and Doodles 9.90%. Between our two dated snapshots the BAYC fall computes to 6.28%, so it is steeper on the snapshot basis than on CoinGecko's rolling window.

Is the wash-trading figure included in the sales total?

No. CryptoSlam reports organic sales separately from wash volume. This week the source published wash for Ethereum ($1.07M), Polygon ($18.50M), Base ($4.80M) and Bitcoin ($109,667); other chains are shown without a figure rather than an estimate.
