Cross-chain NFT sales held at $39.85M for the week of Oct 5–11, 2026 — up 0.90% on the capture's own base — while buyer addresses fell 85.33% to 30,332 and seller addresses fell 84.45%. The same dollars cleared through about one-seventh of the previous week's wallets: transactions per buyer jumped from 4.2 to 25.7.

Every figure is CryptoSlam data captured Oct 10, 2026, except the blue-chip floors, which come from NeoDrop's Oct 9 briefing. Where the weekly percentage depends on a comparison base the source does not publish, we show both readings — this week the bases disagree about direction again, the first time since Sep 7–13, and we also carry an internal CryptoSlam divergence between its daily and weekly tables rather than reconcile it.

Key point: Cross-chain NFT sales held at $39.85M for the week of Oct 5–11, 2026 — +0.90% as reported — while buyer addresses collapsed 85.33% and seller addresses fell 84.45%. The same dollars cleared through about one-seventh of the previous week's wallets.

Data sources. All figures are CryptoSlam data as reported in the Oct 10, 2026 seven-day dashboard capture (crypto.news; figures identical across the five syndicated copies we checked). One source-level divergence is carried rather than reconciled: CryptoSlam's own daily table for Oct 4–10 sums to $33.42M against the weekly dashboard's $39.85M — we report the weekly dashboard as captured and flag the difference. Blue-chip floors come from NeoDrop's Oct 2 – Oct 9 briefing, data cutoff Oct 9 09:00 ET, built from CoinGecko collection data, NFT Price Floor volume series and OpenSea collection pages; the briefing itself discloses its USD-floor variants and resolves CoinGecko's rolling −10.12% Pudgy field against its own prior reading. Buyer and seller counts are blockchain addresses, which may not equal unique individuals. Wash volume was published this week for Ethereum, Polygon, Bitcoin, Immutable and Base — BNB Chain, which printed a figure last week, is absent; the remaining chains are shown without a figure rather than an estimated one.

1. Headline Numbers

CryptoSlam's Oct 10 capture records $39.85M in organic sales, up 0.90% against the prior-week base its own comparison implies — about $39.50M, a figure the capture does not print. Our own Oct 3 capture put the prior week at $40.88M, against which this week is a 2.52% fall. For the second time in this series — after Sep 7–13 — the two bases disagree about direction, not just size — 3.4 points apart, after 3.9 last week. The address columns reconcile almost exactly: the capture's −85.33% implies a prior buyer count of 206,756 against our 206,788 print — 32 addresses apart — and its −84.45% implies 196,770 prior sellers against our 197,297, a 0.3% difference. Transactions still do not: the capture's −6.92% implies about 835,829 prior transactions against the 863,295 we recorded, a 3.2% shortfall, which is why the two transaction-change columns disagree by 3.0 points. One further divergence sits inside the source itself: CryptoSlam's daily table for Oct 4–10 sums to $33.42M, against the $39.85M its weekly dashboard prints. We carry the weekly dashboard as captured and flag the difference.

*The capture does not print a prior-week volume figure; it prints only the +0.90% comparison, from which the $39.50M base is back-computed. No prior-week transaction or address counts are published, so each column implies its own base. The address bases land within rounding of our Oct 3 capture; the transaction base does not, which is why the two transaction-change columns disagree by 3.0 points.

Average value per transaction rose to $51.22 — $39.85M across 778,055 trades, up 8.17% from $47.35. But the participation collapse reframes every per-wallet metric: transactions per buyer address jumped to 25.7 from 4.2, and value per buyer address rose from about $198 to roughly $1,314. Last week's signature — many wallets trading smaller — inverted into few wallets trading more, at a slightly bigger ticket.

2. Chain Breakdown — Organic vs Wash

Ranked by organic sales. Wash volume was published for five chains this week — Ethereum, Polygon, Bitcoin, Immutable and Base. BNB Chain, which printed a $1,687 wash figure last week, is absent from this capture's wash fields. One field needs a caveat before the table: Base's wash figure again.

ChainOrganic salesShareW/WWashBuyer addrsBuyers W/W
Ethereum$17.60M44.2%+4.5%$1.15M4,254-85.8%
Polygon$8.62M21.6%+5.8%$19.03M10,055-78.9%

Base$2.40M6.0%+27.9%$4.80M247-92.7%
BNB Chain$1.80M4.5%-16.3%—1,381-92.7%
Solana$1.57M3.9%-10.5%—5,373-88.5%

Ethereum leads at $17.60M — 44.2% of organic volume, up from 41.8% last week — rising 4.52% as reported and 3.1% on our base. Polygon grew 5.76% to $8.62M, with $19.03M of wash against it — a 2.21× ratio, easing from last week's series-high 2.80× but still above every week before that (prior high 2.59×). Courtyard's $7.68M is 89.1% of Polygon's own organic total. Immutable rose 22.06% to $2.64M — its wash field printing just $47 — and Base rose 27.87% to $2.40M. BNB Chain fell 16.26% to $1.80M and its share fell back from 5.3% to 4.5%, reversing last week's first-ever rise. Solana fell 10.51% to $1.57M, the weakest of the seven. The six named chains account for 91.9% of global organic volume ($36.61M), up from 87.2% last week.

A caveat on Base's wash figure, the seventh published week it appears. Every one of the seven weeks the source has published a Base wash total this series, it has printed the same $4.80M — while Base's organic volume changed every single week. This capture's own change column adds the same contradiction as last week: its +79.91% implies a prior week of $2.67M, which matches neither the $4.80M it prints now nor the $4.80M our Oct 3 capture recorded. We keep the level as printed and treat the week-over-week column for this field as unreliable; at the printed level, Base's wash is 2.00× its organic total.

3. Blue-Chip Floors

NeoDrop's Oct 2 – Oct 9 briefing (cutoff Oct 9, 09:00 ET) recorded four of five blue-chip floors lower in ETH terms, with Doodles the only floor to hold — flat at 0.2621 ETH. The falls range from 2.46% (BAYC, to 5.95 ETH) to 4.88% (Pudgy Penguins, to 2.825 ETH). ETH itself fell 6.95% over the window, from $2,667.95 to $2,482.48, so every floor is much lower in USD: all five closed 9% to 14% below their Oct 2 levels — CryptoPunks $77,944 from $90,591, BAYC $14,774.38 from $16,750.40. The briefing's USD floors imply an ETH price between about $2,483 and $2,494 across the five rows, close to its endpoint.

Doodles0.2621 ETH0.2621 ETH+0.0%+0.0%$654

Two change columns, because they measure different things. Change vs Oct 2 compares two precisely dated snapshots — ours and NeoDrop's from last week. 7-day (as reported) is the briefing's published weekly change. This week the two agree outright on all five rows. The one divergence inside the source — CoinGecko's rolling seven-day field reading −10.12% for Pudgy Penguins against the −4.88% one-week-apart level change — is resolved by the briefing against its own prior reading (2.97 ETH seven days earlier), which our snapshot computation matches; we follow the same resolution. Two internal inconsistencies to disclose: the briefing states two USD floors for Pudgy Penguins ($7,018.61 in its overview, $7,014.72 in its offer discussion), for Azuki ($1,503.04 vs $1,503.05) and for Doodles ($653.55 vs $650.91); we carry the overview values and the offer ratios as printed.

The volume tape tells the week, and this week it rose while the floors fell. The cohort traded 2,234.15 ETH, up 34.2% from 1,664.91, carried by two names: Pudgy Penguins at 945.69 ETH (+127.5%, 304 sales — 2.3 times the prior week) and CryptoPunks at 906.62 ETH (+56.3%, 25 sales). CryptoPunks and BAYC together took 54.7% of cohort volume, down from 67.6%. BAYC's top offer slid from 97.0% to 93.9% of floor — the bid repair last week flagged as the test did not hold — while its volume fell 42.3%. Pudgy ran a distribution week again: volume at 2.3× prior, listings up eleven to 274, the offer holding at 97.4% of a floor now 4.88% lower. Azuki's largest sale printed 20 ETH against a 0.605 ETH floor — 33× — on volume down 42.8%. All five repair tests the briefing set a week earlier failed. The cohort's combined implied market cap is about $1.01B, down from $1.19B: CryptoPunks $778.9M, BAYC $147.7M, Pudgy Penguins $62.4M, Azuki $15.0M, Doodles $6.5M.

4. Top Collections

Courtyard (Polygon) held the top of the table at $7.68M, up 6.56% as reported (5.08% on our base) across 133,068 transactions, up 7.52% — 19.3% of global organic volume and 89.1% of Polygon's own organic total, both shares higher than last week. CryptoPunks returned to second at $2.45M (+24.45%) across just 26 transactions. Pudgy Penguins took third at $1.50M (+125.66%) across 196 transactions — the week its parent announced Abstract's shutdown. Guild of Guardians Heroes (Immutable) ranked fourth at $1.34M (+27.96%) and Argonauts fifth at about $1.34M (+11.89%).

Pudgy PenguinsEthereum$1.50M196$7,653
Guild of Guardians HeroesImmutable$1.34M——
ArgonautsEthereum$1.34M——

The averages separate the shapes: CryptoPunks' $94,337 per transaction sits about 1.21× its $77,944 floor print — above-floor selling at a slightly faster pace than last week's 21 trades (CryptoSlam counts 26 transactions where NFT Price Floor's series counts 25 sales; two sources, two counters). Courtyard averaged $58 across 133,068 trades, Pudgy Penguins about $7,637, and the two sub-million entries (Beezie at $847,665, Claus at $823,768) close out a table whose top three took 29.2% of global volume, up from 28.1%.

The five largest listed trades of the week total about $871,411 — 2.2% of global volume, against $996,000 and 2.4% last week — and for the first time since the week of Sep 21–27 the largest print is not on Ethereum: the $8888 BRC-20 collection's $327,125.81 sale (about 3.9989 BTC) cleared on Bitcoin, followed by Flying Tulip PUT #7571 at $148,851 and PUT #149 at $126,873, both USDT-settled on Ethereum, and CryptoPunks #2651 at $135,636.77 (50 ETH) and #5713 at $132,924.03 (49 ETH). Last week's off-market giant — GONDI's 3M USDC Punk sale — found no successor in this week's disclosures.

Key takeaways
  • Sales came in at $39.85M — up 0.90% on the capture's own implied base of about $39.50M and down 2.52% on ours — the second week the two bases disagree about direction, after Sep 7–13.
  • Buyer addresses collapsed 85.33% to 30,332 and sellers 84.45% to 30,598 while transactions per buyer jumped from 4.2 to 25.7 — the same dollars cleared through about one-seventh of the wallets.
  • Ethereum's share rose to 44.2%; Polygon's wash ratio eased to 2.21× from the 2.80× series high; BNB Chain's share fell back to 4.5% and its wash field went silent after last week's return.
  • Base's wash field printed $4.80M for a seventh published week while its own change column implies $2.67M — we carry the level and flag the field as unreliable.
  • Four blue-chip floors fell in ETH with Doodles flat; all five are 9% to 14% lower in USD after ETH fell 6.95%, cohort volume rose 34.2% on Pudgy Penguins (+127.5%) and CryptoPunks (+56.3%), and all five of last week's repair tests failed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Did NFT sales rise 0.9% or fall 2.5% this week?

Both figures describe the same $39.85M. The 0.90% rise is measured against the prior-week base implied by the Oct 10 capture's own comparison (about $39.50M); the 2.52% fall measures the same figure against the $40.88M recorded in our Oct 3 capture. This week the two bases disagree about direction again — the first time since Sep 7–13 — CryptoSlam does not publish the span behind its comparison, so both are shown.

Why did buyer addresses fall 85% while sales held?

The remaining wallets traded more and bigger. Transactions per buyer rose to 25.7 from 4.2, value per buyer rose to about $1,314 from $198, and Courtyard alone cleared $7.68M through 19,547 buyers. Flat dollars on a much smaller base is concentration arithmetic, not returning demand. The buyer count rests on a single capture; the next snapshot decides whether participation re-based or the dashboard did.

Which chain had the most NFT sales?

Ethereum, at $17.60M — 44.2% of global organic volume, up from 41.8%. Polygon was second at $8.62M (the only large chain besides Ethereum to grow), Bitcoin third at $3.55M, Immutable fourth at $2.64M, Base fifth at $2.40M, BNB Chain sixth at $1.80M and Solana seventh at $1.57M.

Is the wash-trading figure included in the sales total?

No. CryptoSlam reports organic sales separately from wash volume. This week wash was published for five chains: Ethereum ($1.15M), Polygon ($19.03M), Bitcoin ($80,297), Immutable ($47) and Base ($4.80M). BNB Chain, which printed $1,687 last week, is absent from this capture. Base's figure has printed the same $4.80M every week it was published — see the caveat in the chain section.

Did all blue-chip floors fall?

In ETH terms, four of five — Doodles held flat at 0.2621 ETH, and the falls ranged from −2.46% (BAYC) to −4.88% (Pudgy Penguins). In USD terms all five fell 9% to 14%, because ether itself fell 6.95% over the window. The only source divergence is Pudgy: CoinGecko's rolling field reads −10.12% where the one-week-apart levels compute −4.88%, and the briefing resolves against its own prior reading.

Sources & Methodology

This article is based on public data and official disclosures. Figures were last reviewed on October 12, 2026. Values change with network conditions; always verify against the primary source before making decisions.

  1. CryptoSlam — seven-day dashboard captured Oct 10, 2026 (organic sales, wash volume, transactions, buyer/seller addresses, collection rankings, largest sales), as reported by crypto.news; figures identical across five syndicated copies (News of Today, NBTC News, DepoCrypto, Your Cryptonews Today). Internal divergence carried and flagged: the daily table for Oct 4–10 sums to $33.42M against the weekly dashboard's $39.85M.
  2. CryptoSlam — seven-day dashboard captured Oct 3, 2026 (our prior-week comparison base), as reported by crypto.news, The Cryptonomist, 8BitCrypto, Guavy, KCEX and CoinPost.
  3. NeoDrop — blue-chip floor briefing, window Oct 2 – Oct 9, 2026, data cutoff Oct 9, 2026 09:00 ET; floor levels and one-week-apart changes from CoinGecko collection endpoints, volume and sales series from NFT Price Floor, listed and top-offer snapshots from OpenSea collection pages; the briefing's own source divergences (USD-floor variants; CoinGecko's −10.12% rolling Pudgy field) are disclosed in the floor section.
  4. CoinGecko — ETH seven-day series ($2,667.95 → $2,482.48), ETH reference ($2,494) and BTC reference ($82,768) at the Oct 10 capture; the briefing's USD floors imply an ETH price between about $2,483 and $2,494.
