The Market Pulse is our weekly positioning snapshot — where organic volume sat, which blue-chip floors moved, and which collections led. It covers the week of Oct 5–11, 2026.

Headline: $39.85M in organic sales across 778,055 transactions from 30,332 buyer addresses — the week participation collapsed: the same dollars cleared through about one-seventh of the prior week's wallets.

Key point: Organic sales $39.85M on 778,055 transactions from 30,332 buyer addresses — the same dollars through about one-seventh of the prior week's wallets. Ethereum leads at $17.60M. Best floor: Doodles at +0.0%; worst: Pudgy Penguins at -4.9%. Top collection: Courtyard at $7.68M.

1. Blue-Chip Floor Movers

NeoDrop briefing for Oct 2 – Oct 9, 2026, data cutoff Oct 9 09:00 ET. Floors in ETH, converted at the cutoff ETH price of $2,482.48. ETH fell 6.95% over the window, from $2,667.95 to $2,482.48, so every floor is 9% to 14% lower in USD.

CollectionFloor (Oct 9)Floor (Oct 2)Change vs Oct 27-day (as reported)Floor (USD)
Doodles0.2621 ETH0.2621 ETH+0.0%+0.0%$654
Bored Ape Yacht Club5.95 ETH6.1 ETH-2.5%-2.5%$14,774
Azuki0.605 ETH0.635 ETH-4.7%-4.7%$1,503
CryptoPunks31.39 ETH32.99 ETH-4.8%-4.8%$77,944
Pudgy Penguins2.825 ETH2.97 ETH-4.9%-4.9%$7,019

Four of five floors fell — Doodles was the only floor to hold, flat at 0.2621 ETH — and they fell against a falling unit of account, so the declines are much steeper in USD. This week the two change columns agree outright on every row. The one divergence inside the source is Pudgy Penguins: CoinGecko's rolling seven-day field reads −10.12% against the −4.88% one-week-apart level change, and the briefing resolves against its own prior reading (2.97 ETH seven days earlier) — we follow the same resolution. BAYC was firmest of the fallers at −2.46% to 5.95 ETH while its volume fell 42.3% and its top offer slid from 97.0% to 93.9% of floor. Pudgy Penguins was weakest at −4.88% to 2.825 ETH on 127.5% more volume — a second distribution week. CryptoPunks' floor broke the 33 ETH line at 31.39 on volume up 56.3%, and Azuki printed a 20 ETH sale against a 0.605 ETH floor — 33×. All five repair tests the briefing set a week earlier failed. Two change columns are shown because they measure different things: Change vs Oct 2 compares two precisely dated snapshots, while 7-day (as reported) is the briefing's published weekly change; we publish both rather than pick.

2. Organic Volume by Chain

ChainOrganic salesShare of organicW/WWash
Ethereum$17.60M44.2%+4.5%$1.15M
Polygon$8.62M21.6%+5.8%$19.03M
Bitcoin$3.55M8.9%-7.3%$80,297
Immutable$2.64M6.6%+22.1%$47
Base$2.40M6.0%+27.9%$4.80M
BNB Chain$1.80M4.5%-16.3%—
Solana$1.57M3.9%-10.5%—

Shares are computed on organic volume only ($39.85M total). Ethereum leads at 44.2%, up from 41.8% last week, on a 4.52% reported rise (3.0% on our base). Polygon is second at $8.62M (+5.76%); Immutable is fourth at $2.64M (+22.06%) and Base fifth at $2.40M (+27.87%). BNB Chain fell 16.26% to $1.80M — its share fell back from 5.3% to 4.5%, reversing last week's first-ever rise. Four of seven chains grew this week, against two last week, while buyer addresses fell on every chain that published a figure. Polygon's 21.6% share understates its on-chain footprint because $19.03M of wash volume is excluded here — 2.21× its organic figure, easing from last week's 2.80× series high. Wash was published this week for Ethereum, Polygon, Bitcoin, Immutable and Base; BNB Chain, which printed a figure last week, is absent, and Solana is shown without a figure rather than an estimate. W/W percentages are the Oct 10 capture's reported basis.

3. Top Collections

CryptoPunksEthereum$2.45M26
Pudgy PenguinsEthereum$1.50M196
Guild of Guardians HeroesImmutable$1.34M—
ArgonautsEthereum$1.34M—

Courtyard held the top of the table at $7.68M, up 6.56% as reported (5.08% on our base) across 133,068 transactions — 19.3% of global organic volume and 89.1% of Polygon's own organic total, both shares higher than last week. CryptoPunks returned to second at $2.45M (+24.45%) on just 26 transactions — roughly $94,337 per trade, about 1.21× its $77,944 floor print. Pudgy Penguins took third at $1.50M (+125.66%) across 196 transactions, in the same week its parent announced Abstract's Dec 15 shutdown. Guild of Guardians Heroes ranked fourth at $1.34M and Argonauts fifth at about $1.34M. Last week's Credits, Panini America and $ATMC BRC-20 all dropped out of the top seven. The five largest listed trades totalled about $871,411, or 2.2% of global volume — and for the first time since the week of Sep 21–27 the largest print is not on Ethereum: the $8888 BRC-20 collection's $327,125.81 sale cleared on Bitcoin.

4. Implied Market Cap (five published floors)

Azuki10,0000.605 ETH$1,503$15.0M
Doodles9,9980.2621 ETH$654$6.5M
Implied market cap = reported USD floor × supply

An upper bound, not a valuation: it assumes the entire supply could clear at the floor. The USD floors are the briefing's own published overview figures, which imply an ETH price between about $2,483 and $2,494 against the $2,482.48 endpoint it cites. The briefing states two USD floors each for Pudgy Penguins ($7,018.61 vs $7,014.72), Azuki ($1,503.04 vs $1,503.05) and Doodles ($653.55 vs $650.91); we carry the overview values. Only the five collections with a dated Oct 9 floor are included — collections without a dated snapshot are excluded rather than estimated.

Key takeaways
  • Organic sales $39.85M on 778,055 transactions from 30,332 buyer addresses — value held (+0.90% as reported) while buyer addresses collapsed 85.33% and transactions per buyer jumped from 4.2 to 25.7.
  • Ethereum leads at $17.60M (44.2% of organic volume, up from 41.8%); four of seven chains grew, but buyer addresses fell on every chain that published a figure.
  • Four blue-chip floors fell with Doodles flat; all five are 9% to 14% lower in USD after ETH fell 6.95%, cohort volume rose 34.2%, and all five of last week's repair tests failed.
  • Courtyard held the top of the collection table at $7.68M (19.3% of global volume); Pudgy Penguins jumped 125.66% to third and the week's largest sale cleared on Bitcoin, not Ethereum.
  • CryptoPunks implied cap $779M on a 31.39 ETH floor; the cohort's combined implied cap is about $1.01B, down from roughly $1.17B.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the NFT Market Pulse?

A weekly snapshot of the cross-chain NFT market: blue-chip floor movers, organic volume by chain, top collections and implied market caps, published every Monday.

Did NFT sales rise or fall this week?

The $39.85M figure is up 0.90% against the prior-week base implied by the Oct 10 capture's own comparison (about $39.50M), and down 2.52% against the $40.88M in our Oct 3 capture. This week the two bases disagree about direction again — the first time since Sep 7–13 — so both are shown.

Why are there two change columns in the floor table?

Because two different measurements circulate. 'Change vs Oct 2' compares two precisely dated snapshots. '7-day (as reported)' is the briefing's published weekly change, which follows the source's own window. This week they agree outright on all five rows; the only source divergence — CoinGecko's rolling −10.12% for Pudgy Penguins against −4.88% one-week-apart — was resolved by the briefing against its own prior reading.

How is implied market cap calculated?

Reported USD floor × circulating supply. It is an upper bound on collection value, not a mark-to-market valuation, and it uses the briefing's published USD floors, which imply an ETH price between about $2,483 and $2,494.

Does the chain volume table include wash trading?

No — the table reports organic volume only, with wash shown in a separate column where published. On Polygon this week wash was 2.21× organic, easing from the 2.80× series high, and Base's wash printed the same $4.80M for a seventh week — a frozen field this report flags; BNB Chain had no published wash figure this week after printing one last week.
