The Market Pulse is our weekly positioning snapshot — where organic volume sat, which blue-chip floors moved, and which collections led. It covers the week of Aug 31–Sep 6, 2026.
Headline: $75.54M in organic sales across 650,332 transactions, with BNB Chain taking the chain lead for the first time at $32.75M.
1. Blue-Chip Floor Movers
NeoDrop briefing for Aug 29 – Sep 4, 2026, data cutoff Sep 4 09:00 ET. Floors in ETH, converted at the cutoff ETH price of $2,454.17. ETH rose 0.48% over the window, from $2,442.41 to $2,454.17.
| Collection | Floor (Sep 4) | Floor (Aug 28) | Change vs Aug 28 | 7-day (as reported) | Floor (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bored Ape Yacht Club | 7.55 ETH | 7.899 ETH | -4.4% | -4.4% | $18,529 |
| CryptoPunks | 30.75 ETH | 31.98 ETH | -3.8% | -5.2% | $75,466 |
| Pudgy Penguins | 3.8 ETH | 4.29 ETH | -11.4% | -13.7% | $9,326 |
| Doodles | 0.318095 ETH | 0.3829 ETH | -16.9% | -15.2% | $781 |
| Azuki | 0.73 ETH | 0.87 ETH | -16.1% | -17.0% | $1,792 |
All five fell — the first clean sweep in either direction since we began publishing this table. Two change columns are shown because they measure different things: Change vs Aug 28 compares two precisely dated snapshots, while 7-day (as reported) is CoinGecko's rolling seven-day percentage using its own window. They agree for BAYC and differ by up to about 2.2 points elsewhere (Pudgy Penguins: −11.42% between snapshots against −13.66% as reported); we publish both rather than pick.
2. Organic Volume by Chain
| Chain | Organic sales | Share of organic | W/W | Wash |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BNB Chain | $32.75M | 43.4% | +1,042% | $8 |
| Ethereum | $18.94M | 25.1% | -14.2% | $742,249 |
| Polygon | $7.29M | 9.7% | +6.1% | $18.73M |
| Bitcoin | $5.87M | 7.8% | -34.2% | $94,991 |
| Base | $4.23M | 5.6% | +36.6% | $4.80M |
| Solana | $1.91M | 2.5% | +10.0% | $24,849 |
Shares are computed on organic volume only ($75.54M total). Polygon's 9.7% share understates its on-chain footprint because $18.73M of wash volume is excluded here — and overstates its reported demand, because that wash volume is 2.57× its organic figure. BNB Chain's 43.4% share is the headline change of the week: the first time any chain other than Ethereum has led this table. One caveat on the W/W column: those percentages are the Sep 5 capture's own reported basis. Against our Aug 29 capture instead, Ethereum's $18.94M computes to −46.7% — the largest chain-level base gap this week, because BNB Chain's surge shifts the comparison whichever base you use.
3. Top Collections
| Collection | Chain | Sales | Transactions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Courtyard | Polygon | $6.32M | 97,050 |
| Beezie | Base | $2.64M | — |
| Argonauts | Ethereum | $2.07M | 3,068 |
| CryptoPunks | Ethereum | $1.86M | 18 |
| Bored Ape Yacht Club | Ethereum | $1.17M | 63 |
Two concentration warnings before quoting these figures: Beezie's $2.64M came from nine buyer addresses against 240 sellers — the second consecutive week at nine — and CryptoPunks' $1.86M came from 18 transactions, an average of about $103,333 per sale against a floor near $75,466. Courtyard's 97,050 transactions are the only genuinely broad base in the top five.
4. Implied Market Cap (five published floors)
| Collection | Supply | Floor | Floor (USD) | Implied cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CryptoPunks | 10,000 | 30.75 ETH | $75,466 | $754.7M |
| Bored Ape Yacht Club | 10,000 | 7.55 ETH | $18,529 | $185.3M |
| Pudgy Penguins | 8,888 | 3.8 ETH | $9,326 | $82.9M |
| Azuki | 10,000 | 0.73 ETH | $1,792 | $17.9M |
| Doodles | 10,000 | 0.318095 ETH | $781 | $7.8M |
An upper bound, not a valuation: it assumes the entire supply could clear at the floor. Only the five collections with a dated Sep 4 floor are included — collections without a dated snapshot are excluded rather than estimated.
- Organic sales $75.54M on 650,332 transactions; average value per transaction $116.16.
- BNB Chain led chains for the first time at $32.75M (43.4% of organic volume).
- All five blue-chip floors fell: Bored Ape Yacht Club best at -4.4%, Azuki worst at -17.0%.
- CryptoPunks implied cap $755M on a 30.75 ETH floor.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the NFT Market Pulse?
A weekly snapshot of the cross-chain NFT market: blue-chip floor movers, organic volume by chain, top collections and implied market caps, published every Monday.
Why did every blue-chip floor fall while volume rose?
The two cover different assets. CryptoSlam's $75.54M counts BRC-20 inscriptions, liquidity-position tokens and utility collections across all chains; NeoDrop's five floors are Ethereum PFP collections. Capital moved; it did not move into blue chips.
Why are there two change columns in the floor table?
Because two different measurements circulate. 'Change vs Aug 28' compares two precisely dated snapshots. '7-day (as reported)' is CoinGecko's rolling seven-day percentage, which uses its own window and is what most outlets quote. Publishing only one would hide the discrepancy.
How is implied market cap calculated?
Floor price in ETH × circulating supply × the Sep 4 ETH price ($2,454.17). It is an upper bound on collection value, not a mark-to-market valuation.
Does the chain volume table include wash trading?
No — the table reports organic volume only, with wash shown in a separate column. On Polygon this week wash was 2.57× organic, and on Base it exceeded organic outright.
